The company
An independent Cannes company founded in 2014 by Jean-Michel Chiera, now one of the leading private security providers in the Alpes-Maritimes.
Twelve years on the Riviera
Private Security Guards was founded in 2014 in Cannes with one conviction: private security is judged in the field, on the agents' appearance, the quality of reports and the ability to replace an absent agent within one hour. Twelve years later, PSG has 193 employees (61 permanent), a turnover of €5.2 million (2025, profitable) and signs around 400 short contracts every month for its event teams, drawing on a pool of more than 5,000 licensed agents in the department.
Our tools
Geolocated scheduling and clock-in, electronic logbook with photos and automatic reports, NFC-logged patrols, management of certifications and refresher courses: our clients have permanent read access and receive the night report every morning.
Our commitments
On site 15 minutes before the shift, effective replacement within one hour, manager on site within 30 minutes, incident report within 24 hours, monthly then quarterly review meetings, scored unannounced inspections. PSG follows the MASE health-safety-environment approach and the QualiSécurité standard.
Compliance
CNAPS operating licence AUT-006-2114-12-23-20150510185 · director's CNAPS approval valid until 2030 · professional cards checked before every shift · Allianz liability insurance (€10M per claim) · up-to-date social and tax certificates · national collective agreement for security companies and staff-transfer agreement.

Management

Officers who train, not silhouettes in suits
PSG is a partner and sponsor of the L’Uppercut Premium Boxing club. Our security and close-protection officers train there regularly: boxing, self-defence, restraint techniques, stress and stamina management. Physical condition and composure are part of our recruitment criteria, alongside the professional licence. It is the difference between an officer who deters and one who endures.
- Sessions led by professional coaches
- Boxing, self-defence, interception and injury-free restraint techniques
- Physical assessment at hiring and follow-up during the year
- Close-protection officers: specific preparation and security driving
